Our snow is melting. There is a constant dripping everywhere. Even the cattle look happier with the warmer weather. Snowflake still does not like to go outside, but he does not seem as desperate as he use to about his trips back to the house which he makes after the boys take him up to the shed with them at chore time. You see, Snowie has become a winter couch potato; his inactivity and his raiding the compost bucket may be the cause of a urinary tract infection he had. I've taken to covering the bucket and making sure he cannot raid wrappers and napkins in the wastebasket at night.
More exercise and no human food, Snowflake!
Soon summer will come, and I will have to insist that he not go outside after I feed him supper. He loves to be outside hunting when the weather is nice. His favorite catch? William of Orange--I'll have to post a picture of him again soon. I don't like it when my inside cats spend the night outside. There are too many coyotes and foxes for me to worry about. My outside cats are outside smart;I wouldn't want to bet that Snowflake is, though.
Tonight I attended Ash Wednesday service. What a wonderful time of year this is with church every Wednesday night, and this year, our church is having a soup supper before the service. It is a wonderful way for the church family to be together.
I'm dozing off at the keyboard. Time for bed--I get to choose to fall asleep with Socratic Logic or Bulfinch's Mythology. Hmmmm. Hard decision to make...
Sweet dreams to all of you!
